Sister “Sunshine” is a bit gloomy

You know, I kinda wanna tell her to shut up. But, honestly, I think it’s better that she gets to spew her nonsense. Because at least now we KNOW she’s crazy, judgmental, hateful and apparently almost as big of a Dio fan as I am (I mean, srsly, she spit out just about every.single.fact. about the guy including ALL his bands and top hits!).

So, mostly, I just laughed. And then I cranked up “We Rock.” Then I thought about praying to Satan* but remembered that’s not even REMOTELY true about me and despite what would appear to be her overwhelming “evidence” to the contrary I have not “sold my soul to the devil.” Oh, and she hates emo kids too. Which, I’m not entirely sure I can fault her for. Emo is kind of annoying.

NBC may have canceled Heroes but this looks promising. Atleast, promising enough that I’ll give it the first few episodes to appeal to my comic book geekery:

R.I.P Dio

Horns at half-mast today as metalheads everywhere mourn the death of a legend. We’ll miss you Ronnie! R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio. Arguably the man has defined what will be considered “metal” for generations to come. \m/

Ratt n’ Roll returns to the Sunset Strip

May
9

Ratt recently made a triumphant return to the Sunset Strip to celebrate the release of their newest album. 25 years after starting out in the same place the boy from Ratt are back in a BIG way. Their new album Infestation hit stores on April 20th and brings back the glory of sleaze without being so stuck in the old sound that it comes off as dated. They’ve released a NEW rock record both worthy of the Ratt legacy and as a way to, LOUDLY, introduce themselves to a whole new audience in 2010.

Below is the footage from episode of 1 of the CD release party (h/t Roadrunner Records):

Go here to get your copy of Infestation. Trust me, it RAWKS!

Albe’s Road Trip to Athens, GA

May

The Albe’s Team came down to our neck of the woods recently (Twilight trip? No idea.) They hit up some of the more notorious spots on campus and a few even I didn’t recognize. For instance, where in the blue hell is that indoor park? Is that in Athens??
